Discover the Heartbeat of Java –
Where Community and Code Converge
2026, Apr 20 – 23: 1 Workshop-Day, 3 Conference-Days
⟟ Cinedom Multiplex Cinema, Cologne, Germany
It’s the moment after a talk when a small group forms in the hallway. Someone asks a follow-up question. Someone else shares how they solved a similar problem in production. A speaker joins the circle. Suddenly a 5-minute conversation turns into the most useful thing you learned that day.
This is what people call the Hallway Track.
It’s hard to plan, impossible to stream, and one of the biggest reasons why meeting in person still matters.

Due to many of the people you normally only encounter through documentation or GitHub issues are actually here!
Maintainers and contributors from projects like JUnit, Apache Maven, the JDK, Quarkus, Jakarta EE, Testcontainers, Vaadin, and many more spend the conference with the community — not just on stage.
That means the conversation you start after a session can quickly become very practical:
“Why does it behave like that in production?”
“Is there a better way to structure this?”
“Would this approach scale for our system?”
Often the answer comes from someone who has either built the tool or solved the same problem before.

The perspecive you'll get at JCON is incredibly valuable!
People bring experiences from different industries, architectures, and team setups — and those insights often translate directly back into your own daily work.
And you won't know how funny developers can be if you haven't been at JCON ;)

Upgrade your Hallway Track, by registering at our Scheduler!
Here you not only are able to see the current schedule and be able to plan the next talk you want to visit, but can also request 1:1-Meetings with Speakers or Sponsors, to have private talks with them and go even beyond your knowledge.
See it as a private lesson from the source code itself, that will answer why stuff is happen in the way it is and help you leave your next salary negotiation with YOUR conditions.
Because at JCON you can cherry-pick the knowledge you need.
